Tamer Hassan has appeared in more than 70 feature films including Nick Love’s acclaimed “soccer hooligan” film The Football Factory, with Danny Dyer; Matthew Vaughn’s thriller Layer Cake, alongside Daniel Craig, and Vaughn’s superhero satire Kick-Ass, with Nicolas Cage.
Growing up in the southeast part of London, Hassan dreamed only of becoming a professional boxer but was forced to change career paths after suffering an injury. An incidental encounter with an agent led Hassan to early television appearances in many of the U.K.’s most prestigious television series. Shortly thereafter, Hassan got his first big break in features by starring in The Calcium Kid, with Orlando Bloom, followed by Unleashed, opposite Bob Hoskins, Jet Li and Morgan Freeman. He then landed his much-celebrated role as Charlie in Nick Love’s cult film The Business.
Other credits include Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins, with Christian Bale; Dead Man Running, starring 50 Cent; Clash of the Titans, alongside Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson; The Double, with Richard Gere; and Robot Overlords, starring Ben Kingsley. Hassan will next be seen in Terry George’s The Promise, playing the antagonist opposite Christian Bale and Oscar Isaacs.
On the small screen, Hassan has appeared on the long-running drama 24, alongside Kiefer Sutherland; the worldwide sensation Game of Thrones  and now Snatch, a new adaptation of Guy Ritchie’s famed film. Airing on Sony’s Crackle, the series co-stars Dougray Scott and Rupert Grint.
Based in Los Angeles and London, Hassan’s production company Skylight Media Entertainment is establishing itself as a major player on the independent film scene. Currently in development are a number of pictures based on popular franchises.
